Wed, 18 Nov 2009 09:50:03 +0100 (Reuters) - Pro-democracy lawmaker Leung Kwok-hung (3rd R), nicknamed "long hair", throws a mock microwave oven at Hong Kong Chief Secretary Henry Tang during a protest during the announcement of proposed reforms inside the Legislative Council in Hong Kong November 18, 2009. The mock microwave oven symbolises Leung's belief that the Legislative Council are just reiterating (or reheating) the same political reforms they espoused in 2005. Hong Kong on Wednesday released a political reform blueprint for electoral arrangements in 2012 for its legislature and leader that will have a key bearing on the former British colony's progress towards universal suffrage in 2017.
